- Each token is backed by a share, but holders are not registered shareholders unless they convert.
- Trading extends beyond regular market hours, while planned NYSE and OKXICE venues are not live.
Securitize has added 13 tokenized U.S. stocks to its Solana offering, expanding the Securitize Stocks lineup to 25 equities. The new additions include Salesforce, GameStop, Exxon Mobil and Disney, broadening the selection beyond the technology-heavy group introduced in October.
The company’s November 2 announcement says the products are available to eligible investors in the United States, European Union and other permitted jurisdictions. Trades settle in USDC, with Jump Trading supporting liquidity infrastructure. Access remains subject to investor onboarding, securities laws, sanctions requirements and other restrictions.
The 13 New Stocks on Solana
The expansion adds the following companies:
- Arista Networks (ANET)
- Flex (FLEX)
- Exxon Mobil (XOM)
- GameStop (GME)
- Johnson & Johnson (JNJ)
- Lockheed Martin (LMT)
- Lumentum (LITE)
- Merck (MRK)
- Salesforce (CRM)
- Seagate Technology (STX)
- Texas Instruments (TXN)
- The Walt Disney Company (DIS)
- Uber Technologies (UBER)
These names join the 12 equities in the October launch, which included Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla and Strategy. The larger selection adds exposure to sectors such as energy, pharmaceuticals, defense and industrial manufacturing alongside technology and consumer businesses.
The total of 25 refers to that stock lineup. Securitize’s own SECZ shares also appear on its stock portal, but are separate from the 12-plus-13 expansion described in the release.
Share Backing Preserves Specific Ownership Rights
Securitize says each token is backed one-for-one by an underlying share. In the United States, the product represents a security entitlement under Article 8 of the Uniform Commercial Code, held through Securitize Markets. That structure preserves applicable economic benefits, including dividends and voting rights where the underlying share class provides them, according to the company.
Holding a token does not automatically put an investor’s name on the issuing company’s shareholder register. Securitize calls the structure a convertible entitlement token: conversion to directly registered shares is possible where available, including if an issuer adopts supported tokenization. EU investors hold their interests through Securitize Europe Brokerage and Markets, with their rights governed by client terms and applicable law.
The company says the shares backing the tokens are not lent out. It also states that the underlying companies have not issued, sponsored or endorsed these products, and that the offering does not create new shares.
Those details matter when comparing different forms of tokenized finance. A token can represent a brokerage entitlement, a directly registered share or a derivative tied to a price; the legal claim depends on the product’s structure. CoinScreamer’s coverage of DTCC’s service examined another entitlement-based model, operating through the U.S. securities depository.
Extended Hours Are Live, 24/7 Venues Are Planned
Trading currently extends beyond traditional market hours. Securitize has not announced unrestricted, round-the-clock availability for all 25 stocks. Its platform disclosures also warn that extended-hours trading can bring lower liquidity, wider spreads and greater volatility.
Secondary trading is offered through Securitize Markets, an SEC-registered broker-dealer and FINRA/SIPC member. Securitize says this existing arrangement operates under U.S. securities laws without needing to rely on the SEC’s Innovation Exemption.
The company expects the stocks to become available through the digital trading venue being developed by NYSE and says its structure is designed for compatibility with tokenized securities venues such as OKXICE. Both venues remain unlaunched. Access would depend on regulatory approval, venue review and operational requirements, and the release cautions that trading there may not occur.
The immediate development is therefore a broader selection of share-backed equities on Solana. Around-the-clock trading and distribution through additional venues remain future steps, rather than features established by today’s expansion.
