Crypto exchange KuCoin has launched perpetual futures contracts linked to the stock prices of Tesla and Strategy, expanding the crossover between crypto derivatives and traditional equities. The products allow traders to speculate on stock price movements through synthetic contracts settled in the stablecoin USDt.
The contracts, listed as TSLAUSDT and MSTRUSDT, track the performance of the underlying shares but do not provide ownership of the equities. As perpetual futures, the instruments have no expiration date and can be traded continuously. KuCoin said positions can be opened with as little as 1 USDt, lowering the barrier to entry for retail traders.
The launch reflects a broader industry trend toward tokenized or synthetic exposure to traditional financial assets. Exchanges and fintech platforms are increasingly introducing products that connect crypto trading infrastructure with equity markets while maintaining 24-hour trading availability.
