CryptoQuant founder and CEO Ki Young Ju says Bitcoin’s bear cycle has ended and expects bullish or sideways price action over the next 12–24 months. He posted the outlook on X on October 13, outlining a change in his assessment of the market cycle.
The update quotes his March 2025 forecast, when he said Bitcoin’s bull cycle was over and anticipated six to 12 months of bearish or sideways trading. The new post shifts his stated outlook toward either an advancing market or a prolonged period of consolidation.
Ju’s forecast leaves room for an extended sideways market, rather than calling for an uninterrupted rally. His written comments do not specify a price target or a date for Bitcoin to reach a new high, and the cycle assessment remains his expectation.
The remarks follow CryptoQuant’s report that miner selling pressure has eased, with extreme miner outflows absent since August 21. CoinScreamer previously covered improving mining economics, including daily miner revenue rising from $27 million in July to $48 million in the October 8 research update.
Separate Glassnode research published October 12 found fresh capital continuing to enter Bitcoin despite weaker prices and $701.6 million in weekly US spot ETF outflows. Those mixed signals provide context for Ju’s outlook: stronger on-chain capital indicators have coexisted with selling by ETF holders and derivatives traders.
