Bitcoin miners have eased their selling pressure, removing a persistent source of supply during the 2026 bear market, CryptoQuant said. The analytics firm reported that extreme miner outflows have been absent since August 21.
Its October 8 research summary points to improving mining economics. Daily revenue from block rewards and transaction fees rose from $27 million in July to $48 million, while network hashrate recovered from 899 exahashes per second on July 31 to 962 EH/s.
Selling-related activity has also moderated among older and larger mining wallets. Satoshi-era miners recorded about 600 BTC in outflows in September, compared with roughly 2,000 BTC in January. Addresses holding 100–1,000 BTC have maintained a combined balance near 51,000 BTC since early September.
Those large-miner balances had previously fallen from around 64,000 BTC in December 2025. CryptoQuant’s profitability indicator moved from extremely underpaid to fairly paid on August 21, when Bitcoin reached $76,000. The absence of extreme outflows does not mean every miner has ceased all sales.
The shift reduces one source of market pressure without ensuring a price recovery. CoinScreamer previously reported Bitcoin’s October 8 drop below $81,000 alongside heavy crypto long liquidations, showing that improved miner conditions can coexist with broader market weakness.
