BlackRock and Fidelity Lead Bitcoin Inflows
BlackRock’s IBIT received $234.99 million and Fidelity’s FBTC added $212.71 million. Together, they accounted for $447.70 million, or about 84.7% of the Bitcoin group’s net inflow.
Grayscale’s GBTC gained $32.59 million, Bitwise’s BITB added $19.23 million and ARK 21Shares’ ARKB received $9.79 million. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust, trading under BTC, brought in $8.21 million, followed by Franklin’s EZBC at $7.31 million and Valkyrie’s BRRR at $3.57 million.
Eight Bitcoin funds recorded positive flows in the provider’s table, while the remaining four showed zero. No fund in that snapshot reported a net withdrawal. SoSoValue also confirmed the category’s three-day inflow streak in its daily report.
Adding October 19’s $526.60 million and October 20’s $23.16 million puts Bitcoin ETF inflows at approximately $1.078 billion for the first three sessions of the week.
Ether Returns to Positive Territory
Grayscale’s Ethereum Mini Trust, trading under ETH, led Ether inflows with $28.07 million. Fidelity’s FETH added $13.03 million, alongside smaller gains for Morgan Stanley’s MSSE, Franklin’s EZET and Bitwise’s ETHW.
BlackRock’s ETHA moved in the opposite direction, recording $29.32 million in withdrawals. It was the only Ether product with a negative flow in SoSoValue’s table; five recorded inflows and five showed zero.
The positive aggregate ended withdrawals spanning October 14–20, during which Ether funds lost a combined $388.82 million. Wednesday recovered only part of that amount, leaving the October 19–21 subtotal at a $114.45 million net outflow.
Our October 15 update covered the earlier divergence between modest Bitcoin inflows and continued Ether redemptions. Both groups were positive on October 21, although their week-to-date balances remained different.
New Capital Is Different From Trading Turnover
SoSoValue reported $109.31 billion in Bitcoin ETF net assets and $15.36 billion for Ether products as of October 21. Those portfolio values change with underlying asset prices as well as subscriptions and redemptions.
ETF share turnover is also separate from net fund flows: investors can trade existing shares without creating an equivalent amount of new exposure. The daily inflow totals alone do not identify every buyer or establish that the same investors moved money between Bitcoin and Ether.
