James Wynn’s publicly tracked trading account held about $500 while his latest Bitcoin short showed roughly $25 in profit, according to a November 5 snapshot. Arkham reported the figures as the trader continued betting against Bitcoin after his earlier high-leverage losses.

The $500 figure refers to account equity. On Hyperliquid, leverage allows traders to control positions larger than the collateral they commit. The platform’s margin rules distinguish the capital backing a trade from its total exposure.

Wynn became widely followed in May 2025 for Bitcoin positions exceeding $1 billion in notional value. Arkham’s earlier analysis said his trading profit had climbed to about $82 million before reversing. By May 30, the account was down $13.2 million from his first Hyperliquid trade.

The small gain in the latest post was a snapshot of an open position, so it could change with Bitcoin’s price. A short benefits when the market falls, while rising prices work against it and can trigger liquidation if the account lacks sufficient margin.

A later CoinScreamer check of Arkham’s tracked profile showed about $660 in the Hyperliquid perpetuals account and $1,341 across labeled holdings. Those visible balances describe the accounts Arkham tracks and provide a narrower picture than Wynn’s total personal finances.
