Key Notes

  • Strive bought 1,223 BTC on October 14–16 at an average $81,734, including fees and expenses.
  • The tranche is included in the week’s 4,045 BTC total, bringing holdings to 36,818 BTC.
  • Its priced SATS offering is scheduled to settle October 20, with no proceeds received as of October 16.

Strive bought another 1,223 Bitcoin for approximately $100 million from October 14 through October 16, increasing its treasury to 36,818 BTC. The latest tranche was acquired at an average price of about $81,734 per coin, including fees and expenses.

Chairman and CEO Matt Cole announced the purchase on October 19. Strive’s accompanying SEC filing shows that the new tranche was part of a larger 4,045 BTC acquisition across the full October 12–16 week.

Multiplying the latest tranche by its rounded average price gives approximately $99.96 million. That is an estimate derived from the disclosed figures, rather than a separately reported exact cash total.

Two purchases make up the weekly total

The first 2,822 BTC were acquired on October 12–13 and announced on October 14. The subsequent 1,223 BTC brought the week’s total to 4,045 BTC, bought at a combined average of approximately $82,803 per coin, including fees and expenses.

Strive’s Bitcoin balance therefore rose from 32,773 BTC on October 9 to 36,818 BTC on October 16. The latest 1,223 BTC should not be added again to the full-week purchase figure.

CoinScreamer’s earlier Strive update covered the preceding acquisition of 3,311 BTC during October 5–9. The successive disclosures trace how the company reached its current balance, with each purchase period separate from the date its announcement appeared.

SATS financing is due to settle on Tuesday

The filing also updates the financing behind Strive’s treasury strategy. On October 15, the company priced seven million SATS preferred shares at $90 each, representing expected gross proceeds of $630 million before underwriting discounts and expenses. Settlement is scheduled for October 20, subject to customary closing conditions.

No SATS proceeds had been received as of the October 16 balance-sheet snapshot. The expected financing should therefore not be treated as cash already available during the latest purchase period.

Our coverage of the initial SATS proposal described a five-million-share offering with $500 million in stated value. The priced transaction is larger: seven million shares carry $700 million in aggregate stated amount, while the $90 sale price produces the lower $630 million gross-proceeds figure.

Cole said Strive plans to maintain its 18-month dividend reserve. He also confirmed that the traditional warrants have expired; the filing specifies that all had either been exercised or expired by October 16. Those completed warrant exercises are separate from the pending SATS settlement.

The update adds to the latest round of public-company Bitcoin purchases. Strategy disclosed a separate 267 BTC acquisition on October 19 alongside preferred-security repurchases, showing how treasury expansion and financing decisions continue to develop together.
