NEAR Business is offering companies a way to manage crypto treasuries across more than 35 blockchains while keeping sensitive balances and payment details out of public view. The platform combines batch payouts, cross-chain swaps and configurable approvals in a single interface, with access currently limited to a private beta.
The official product page lists support for bitcoin, ether, SOL and NEAR alongside other assets and networks. It targets foundations, digital-asset treasury companies, funds and finance teams that otherwise have to coordinate wallets and transactions across separate chains.
Private payments, public approval rules
For a business paying staff or suppliers, the appeal is control over who can inspect its operations. NEAR Business says authorized team members and auditors can access confidential balances and payment receipts, while public observers cannot simply read the same details from a block explorer.
That does not mean the entire system is invisible. The platform’s terms distinguish between governance on the public NEAR blockchain and balances maintained through the Confidential Intents Protocol on a private shard, a separate execution environment.
The public Treasury Contract records members, roles, approval thresholds and voting activity. Confidential balances are not held in that contract. Once the required approvals are collected, a separate signing service authorizes the corresponding instruction. The provider says its interface and backend cannot bypass those rules or move customer balances unilaterally.
Teams can configure permissions for different actions and use Ledger hardware signing. This makes approval policy central to the setup: the number and identity of people needed to authorize an operation depend on the organization’s chosen rules.
Privacy also has boundaries. The terms say the operator processes transaction information and may disclose it for legal, compliance or security purposes. The documentation explains that withdrawals to public wallets bridge assets back to their destination networks. Those networks retain their normal public visibility; the service does not make every external payment anonymous or untraceable.
No subscription, with fees attached to swaps
NEAR Business advertises free treasury creation, no subscription and a 0.35% swap fee. It also sponsors gas costs for the first 1,000 actions each month, after which standard network charges apply.
The advertised swap rate should not be read as a guarantee of an all-in transaction cost. The terms allow for charges associated with routing, protocols, bridges and other infrastructure, as well as execution slippage. Users are shown an estimated result before approving an operation.
The service builds on NEAR Intents, which coordinates cross-chain execution. CoinScreamer previously covered its use in confidential swaps connected to Robinhood Chain. The business product applies that infrastructure to a different workflow: controlled treasury operations, shared approvals and records for accounting.
Companies must request early access rather than sign up for unrestricted availability. The official site does not specify a general-release date, so the current offering remains a beta rather than a fully open corporate treasury service.
