Key Notes
- AXIS began trading on Coinbase, Upbit and Bitget, with Coinbase initially in limit-only mode.
- Axis Robotics collects verified human demonstrations to train robotic systems.
- The community sale used staged vesting plus a separate bonus unlocked at TGE.
Axis Robotics’ AXIS token began trading on Coinbase, Upbit and Bitget on October 21, bringing public markets to a Base-based project that collects human demonstrations to train robotic systems.
Coinbase’s status update records AXIS-USD entering limit-only trading at 11:33 UTC, following an opening auction. In that mode, limit orders can match, but market orders cannot be submitted. Coinbase refers to the asset as Axis Labs.
Upbit’s listing notice set a 13:00 UTC start for KRW, BTC and USDT markets, subject to liquidity readiness. Bitget’s announcement specified the same start time for AXIS/USDT. Both exchanges identify the token’s network as Base.
Early Trading Above the Sale Price
Bitget’s one-minute price data shows AXIS closing the 14:59 UTC interval at 0.28577 USDT. That is a dated reference from the first trading session, rather than a claim that every exchange opened at that price.
That reference is roughly 2.86 times the $0.10 community-sale price, assuming USDT trades near one dollar. With the project’s stated maximum supply of one billion AXIS, it implies a fully diluted value of approximately $286 million.
Fully diluted value applies the price to the entire token supply. It is different from circulating market capitalization, the amount raised by the project or the equity valuation of its operating company. It will also change as AXIS trades.
Human Demonstrations for Robot Training
Axis describes its product as a data engine for physical AI. Contributors remotely control simulated robots through structured tasks, including browser-based manipulation exercises. Accepted demonstrations become training material for robot models.
The project says it replays submissions in simulation, checks physical consistency and scores their quality before admitting them to the training pool. Records on Base provide an auditable trail of accepted contributions; the presence of those records does not mean robot-model training itself takes place on the blockchain.
Its July review says the company announced a $12 million seed round on July 27, led by Hack VC, with participation from Nomad Capital, Pi Network Ventures and 10K Ventures. That financing is separate from the later community token sale.
AXIS is intended to reward data contributions. The existing Axis Point System needs a separate distinction: the sale FAQ describes points as non-transferable and does not promise an automatic points-to-token conversion.
A $0.10 Sale With Staged Unlocks
The official sale page set a $1 million round size at $0.10 per AXIS, offering 10 million tokens, or 1% of the stated maximum supply. Its commitment window ran from September 21 to September 28, with USDC on Base used for payment.
The published allocation schedule unlocks 25% at the token-generation event. The remaining 75% is subject to a six-month cliff, followed by linear vesting over the next six months.
The terms also include a separate community bonus of 5–25% of a participant’s final allocation, unlocked at TGE. Axis says the bonus rate depends on the original commitment size. That extra allocation should not be confused with accelerating the vesting of the remaining 75%.
The $1 million figure describes the advertised sale size, rather than independently verified net proceeds. Likewise, a market price above the sale price does not mean a participant could sell their full allocation immediately, because the vesting restrictions still apply.
