Key Notes
- Hypercall plans to open 24/7 Anthropic-linked options trading on November 9 at 13:00 UTC.
- The contracts are synthetic and cash-settled, with no company shares, IPO allocation or voting rights.
- Access is restricted by jurisdiction, and the premium-limited risk of fully paid long options does not apply to every margined strategy.
Hypercall plans to open an Anthropic-linked options market on November 9, adding another way to trade the AI company’s pre-IPO price exposure without owning its shares.
The platform’s launch announcement sets the opening for Monday at 8 a.m. EST, or 13:00 UTC. Built on Hyperliquid, Hypercall says the contracts will trade around the clock and support calls, puts, spreads and other volatility strategies, with fractional position sizing.
Founder Jake Sylvestre and growth and marketing head Dan Edlebeck told The Block that the offering will be available in selected jurisdictions outside the United States. The scheduled opening is for Hypercall’s derivatives market, not an announced date for Anthropic’s stock-market debut.
How the Contracts Settle
The contracts are synthetic, cash-settled derivatives. Their payouts depend on the strike price and a reference price at expiry. They confer no Anthropic shares, IPO allocation or voting rights.
A call provides upside exposure above its strike, while a put provides downside exposure below its strike. The buyer pays a premium for that exposure. A positive settlement payout is not necessarily a profit, because the cost of the option must also be recovered.
According to the executives, existing Anthropic-linked perpetual futures on Hyperliquid give market makers a way to hedge their options exposure before publicly traded shares are available. That connects the new market to an existing derivatives market, rather than requiring delivery of company stock.
Premium Risk Differs From Margin Risk
Hypercall’s options guide explains why a fully paid long option differs from a leveraged perpetual position. The buyer can lose the entire premium, but an adverse price move does not itself create a margin call on that standalone position before expiry.
That description should not be applied to every strategy on the platform. Selling options or combining contracts with margined perpetuals can create different obligations. Hypercall’s release describes a unified USDC-margined account and portfolio margin that recognizes offsetting positions.
CoinScreamer’s earlier Anthropic perpetuals coverage examined a separate Polymarket product with up to 10x leverage. Unlike an expiring option, a perpetual has no scheduled maturity and can remain open until closed or liquidated under its margin rules.
Access Depends on Jurisdiction
Hypercall’s platform terms restrict US persons and people located in the US. They also identify the UK, European Economic Area, Canada and Australia among restricted jurisdictions. Availability outside the United States therefore does not imply that every international reader is eligible.
The terms also warn about liquidity, reference-market manipulation, oracle failures and settlement risks. A limit on the market loss of a fully paid option does not remove the operational risks of the venue handling it.
The announced launch extends a platform that already offers options linked to SpaceX, the S&P 500, bitcoin and ether, according to its executives. For the Anthropic market, the confirmed next milestone remains the planned November 9 opening.
