Strategy has resumed its Bitcoin acquisitions, deploying $75.7 million between September 14 and September 20 to purchase 950 BTC at an average price of $79,670 per coin. The latest purchase restores the firm’s total treasury to 846,000 BTC, representing roughly 4% of the ultimate 21 million Bitcoin supply cap. Strategy’s aggregate cost basis now stands at $63.80 billion, or $75,416 per coin.

The transaction was accompanied by a larger corporate buyback. Strategy allocated $174 million from its cash reserves to repurchase 1,771,238 shares of its variable-rate STRC preferred stock. In total, the firm deployed $249.7 million in cash over the week without selling shares through its at-the-market equity program.

Executive Chairman Michael Saylor confirmed on X that Strategy held $6.09 billion in USD assets as of September 20, comprising $5.04 billion in its USD Reserve and $1.05 billion in USD Cash. The company also used $57.4 million from its reserve to cover preferred stock dividends and debt interest payments.

The move restores Strategy’s reserve back to its late-June level of 846,000 BTC following strategic treasury adjustments in July and August that briefly lowered holdings to 840,447 BTC. With $875.1 million remaining in authorized preferred-stock buybacks and $1 billion in common-stock repurchase capacity, Strategy retains significant flexibility to manage both its digital asset reserve and capital structure moving forward.
