Polymarket has added gold and silver price-direction markets, with 15-minute, hourly and daily listings expanding its short-duration trading beyond cryptocurrencies. Chainlink announced the launch of the 15-minute metals contracts on October 29 as part of a deeper partnership with the prediction platform.

The new short-duration markets use Chainlink price data. The platform’s hourly gold rules compare the reference price at the start and end of the specified window, with an unchanged price resolving to Up. Winning outcome shares redeem for $1; losing shares pay nothing.

Settlement terms are not identical across every metals contract. The international platform’s daily gold market instead references Pyth prices and compares the closing price with the previous trading day’s close. Its published criteria provide for a 50-50 resolution if the two closing prices match.

Chainlink says its existing partnership with Polymarket has already supported more than $11 billion in trading volume across five- and 15-minute crypto price markets. That figure concerns the earlier crypto products, not demand for the new metals contracts. The companies also outlined further expansion into equities and foreign exchange.

Access remains subject to Polymarket’s geographic restrictions; an international launch does not make the service available in every country. The expansion follows the platform’s October 29 trading restoration after a third-party security incident, when it pledged to reimburse affected users.
