Polymarket said trading on its international platform was fully back online on October 29 after a security incident involving a compromised third-party provider. In its latest update, the company reiterated that it would fully reimburse affected traders.

The company’s earlier statement said it had identified and fixed the issue and referred the incident to law enforcement. It temporarily halted trading as a precaution while working to restore the platform. That announcement did not identify the provider or quantify losses.

The response followed public warnings about unauthorized asset movements and a possible website compromise. Trader The Greek Trader warned users against opening the site, citing reports that a script on its homepage was involved. Those initial reports preceded the company’s restoration update.

Separately, Hudson Rock’s technical analysis found malicious code in a monitoring script associated with Polymarket. Researchers said it sought access to existing trading sessions, requested signatures and attempted asset transfers or position sales. They also found build metadata recording removal of the integration.

The analysis did not establish aggregate losses, the number of affected users or the initial compromise mechanism. It also did not demonstrate a wider compromise affecting other customers of the monitoring service. Polymarket’s reimbursement commitment should not be read as confirmation that every affected trader has already received compensation.
