Boerse Stuttgart Digital and institutional digital asset market-maker Tradias have completed their strategic merger. The transaction, originally announced in February 2026, closed following final regulatory clearance under standard ownership control procedures. The resulting organization forms a consolidated digital asset division boasting approximately 300 employees across primary European financial hubs.
The unified corporate entity will operate under the Boerse Stuttgart Digital brand umbrella, while Tradias will maintain its identity as the specialized brand for institutional trading and market-making services. Operations will be anchored in dual headquarters in Frankfurt and Stuttgart, supported by international satellite offices in Athens, Beirut, Berlin, Dubai, Madrid, Milan, and Ljubljana. Leadership transitions feature Tradias founder Christopher Beck and Boerse Stuttgart Digital managing director Ulli Spankowski serving as co-chief executive officers. Financial terms of the transaction were not publicly disclosed.
Through this integration, Boerse Stuttgart Group unifies its end-to-end digital asset value chain, encompassing regulated brokerage, exchange operations, Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA)-compliant custody, automated staking, and digital tokenization infrastructure.
Combining Tier-1 Institutional Banking Infrastructure with Deep Liquidity
The merger aligns complementary client networks and technical capabilities under a single operational umbrella. Boerse Stuttgart Digital brings a corporate roster of major European financial institutions, including Germany’s cooperative central bank DZ Bank, savings bank asset manager DekaBank, Italy’s Intesa Sanpaolo, and Société Générale-FORGE.
Tradias adds an established institutional trading execution engine providing liquidity across more than 150 digital assets and 1,000 trading pairs. Its client base includes major European online brokers and market platforms such as flatexDEGIRO, Trade Republic, dwpbank, as well as European public sector and government entities.
The deal follows expanding institutional adoption under the European Union’s MiCA regulatory framework. Earlier implementations, such as DekaBank relying on Boerse Stuttgart Digital’s custody authorization and BaFin licensing, demonstrate the growing demand among traditional banks for turn-key, compliant crypto infrastructure.
Concurrently, Boerse Stuttgart Group has continued expanding Seturion, its cross-border DLT settlement platform for tokenized assets. Designed to integrate central bank digital currency (CBDC) and stablecoin settlement while slashing operational friction, platforms like Seturion and the newly expanded Tradias trading arm position Boerse Stuttgart Digital as a core infrastructure provider for European digital finance.
