Pons, a prominent token launchpad on the newly deployed Robinhood Chain Layer-2 network, has announced its upcoming V2 upgrade. Scheduled for deployment following smart contract audits, the update fundamentally redesigns how on-chain tokens are launched, traded, and migrated to decentralized liquidity pools.

A core feature of Pons V2 is the transition to an ETH-denominated bonding curve alongside integration with Uniswap V4 pools and Hooks. The new structure allows token deployers to receive creator payouts directly in ETH or stablecoins rather than accumulating native memecoin balances. Furthermore, Pons V2 removes standard wallet trading restrictions and introduces support for custom quote pairs, enabling creators to launch tokens paired directly against tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) such as USDG, NVDA, AAPL, and HOOD.

Under the updated mechanics, tokens remain on the bonding curve until reaching a 4.2 ETH market threshold. Once hit, liquidity automatically migrates into a permanently locked, full-range Uniswap V4 position to guard against post-graduation liquidity drains.

The announcement arrives amid shifting market dynamics on Robinhood Chain following the recent operational shutdown of early launchpad leader Noxa. While FalconX research indicates that over 80% of current Robinhood Chain DEX volume stems from speculative memecoin trading, Pons V2 aims to bridge speculative trading with institutional asset tokenization across the ecosystem.
