Hyperliquid co-founder Jeff Yan said the platform aims to provide open financial infrastructure that other companies can use, rather than compete directly with their trading interfaces. He spoke at TOKEN2049 Singapore on October 7, Foresight News reported from the event.
Yan compared that role to the internet, arguing that companies build on shared infrastructure rather than compete with the underlying network itself. He pointed to developers creating mobile applications and institutional trading terminals connected to Hyperliquid’s markets and liquidity.
Hyperliquid’s builder codes support that model by letting applications collect fees on trades submitted for users. Its documentation says users must approve a maximum fee for each builder and can revoke that permission, with the fee logic processed onchain.
Separately, Bloomberg Terminal now provides 24/7 streaming prices for selected Hyperliquid perpetuals through WSL HYPE <GO>. CoinScreamer previously covered the market-data integration, which spans commodities, indexes, equities, currencies and crypto alongside a separate HYPE spot price.
Bloomberg’s Michael McDonough said the worksheet combines perpetual and reference prices so users can monitor signals outside traditional trading hours. That feature concerns market data; the announcements do not describe placing Hyperliquid orders through the Terminal.
