Circle Internet Group has officially launched the public mainnet for Arc, an open Layer 1 blockchain purpose-built as an economic operating system for global financial markets and autonomous AI agents. Integrated natively into Circle’s full-stack infrastructure, the EVM-compatible network eliminates native token volatility by utilizing USDC for transaction fees while providing sub-second deterministic finality and post-quantum security.

Arc introduces features like opt-in privacy with view keys for compliance and native cross-currency settlement via Circle StableFX. Designed specifically for machine-driven commerce, the network integrates the Circle Agent Stack, Agent Wallets, and specialized execution environments to process autonomous transactions securely.

Arc goes live with over 100 institutional and ecosystem builders, anchored by a founding validator cohort featuring major financial institutions such as BlackRock, Mastercard, Visa, DTCC, ICE, and Standard Chartered. Major global banks, custodians, and digital asset exchanges are participating alongside core DeFi protocols like Aave, Morpho, and Uniswap to provide liquidity and credit infrastructure.

To accelerate ecosystem growth, Circle introduced developer tools like Arc Studio for AI-assisted contract deployment and Arc App Kits for quick payment integration. Additionally, Circle completed the genesis mint of 10 billion ARC tokens in the US to serve as a future governance and security coordination mechanism as the network prepares for an eventual transition toward Proof of Stake.
