Global non-fungible token sales rebounded significantly during the first week of September 2026, climbing 55.6% to reach approximately $75.54 million according to seven-day snapshot data from CryptoSlam. The total expansion occurred despite overall network transactions dropping 14.77% to 650,332, indicating that higher average trade values drove the overall volume increase rather than a larger quantity of individual sales.
Across all monitored chains, unique buyer addresses grew 20.38% to 273,655, while seller addresses expanded 18.09% to 291,266. The broader cryptocurrency market experienced ongoing volatility over the same period, with Bitcoin holding near $79,694 and Ethereum trading around $2,458.
BNB Chain Claims Top Network Ranking Over Ethereum
The most notable shift occurred at the blockchain level, where BNB Chain secured the top ranking by posting roughly $32.75 million in organic NFT volume. This marked a massive 1,042% surge compared to the previous week, making BNB Chain the primary contributor to overall global growth despite no single project accounting for a majority of its volume. Ethereum fell to second place with $18.94 million in organic volume, down 14.23%, though its buyer addresses expanded by 21.13%. Polygon secured third place with $7.29 million in organic activity alongside $18.73 million in wash trading, while Bitcoin and Base followed with $5.87 million and $4.23 million in organic sales, respectively. Solana rounded out the top six networks with $1.91 million in organic volume.
Courtyard Dominates Collections While BRC-20 Assets Lead High-Value Trades
At the project level, Polygon-based physical asset tokenization platform Courtyard retained its position as the top individual collection, generating $6.32 million in volume across 97,050 transactions. Base-based Beezie placed second with $2.64 million, though its sales were heavily concentrated among only nine recorded buyer addresses.
Ethereum’s Argonauts and CryptoPunks collections captured third and fourth spots with $2.07 million and $1.86 million, respectively. In terms of individual high-value sales, Bitcoin-based assets held the top two spots, led by a $REWD BRC-20 NFT that traded for 10 BTC, valued at roughly $796,863. CryptoPunks #1839 recorded the week’s highest Ethereum sale at 161.5 ETH, equivalent to approximately $394,320.
