Binance founder Changpeng Zhao joined BNB Standard Corporation at Nasdaq’s opening-bell ceremony on October 26, appearing alongside chief executive Alex Odagiu as the BNB treasury company celebrated its new name and leadership.
The company, which trades under the ticker BNC, confirmed that Zhao, known as CZ, attended with its board, leadership team and representatives from YZi Labs and BNB Chain. Nasdaq’s official replay shows Zhao speaking at the podium beside Odagiu.

A New Name on an Existing Listing
Nasdaq’s event page names Odagiu as the executive ringing the bell. The ceremony marked the company’s rebrand and management change, rather than an initial public offering or a new stock-market listing.
Previously called CEA Industries, the company adopted the BNB Standard Corporation name on September 29. Its stock information shows that the BNC ticker was already in use before the rename.
CZ’s appearance gave the event a prominent connection to the BNB ecosystem. It did not, by itself, announce a new treasury purchase or change the rights attached to BNC shares.
What the Treasury Disclosure Shows
BNB Standard describes itself as the world’s largest corporate BNB treasury. Its public dashboard lists 515,544 BNB, with the holding figure explicitly dated July 31, 2026.
That date matters: the disclosed balance is a historical reference, not a report of coins acquired during the Nasdaq ceremony. The dashboard refreshes market prices separately from the underlying holding figure, which changes with public disclosures.
The corporate structure gives stock-market investors exposure to a business holding BNB. Buying BNC shares is distinct from directly owning the token, and the value of the shares can also reflect the company’s capital structure, expenses and operating plans.
A Validator Plan Under the New CEO
Odagiu’s appointment took effect on October 19. He had served as interim president and a director since June and previously worked as an investment partner at YZi Labs.
Alongside the appointment, BNB Standard announced plans to operate a BNB Chain validator, adding network operations to its treasury strategy. The company said it was selecting a service provider and intended to keep treasury assets with qualified custodians throughout staking.
The announcement described a planned operation. It did not confirm that the validator was already live, and any staking rewards would remain variable.
The corporate initiative comes as BNB Chain develops its own infrastructure. CoinScreamer’s earlier report covers a separate high-speed L1 design that would use BNB alongside the existing BNB Smart Chain. That network project and BNB Standard’s listed treasury business are separate developments.
