Samsung Wallet will introduce USDC transfers on Solana for eligible Galaxy users in the United States in the last week of October, Samsung announced. The rollout will bring cross-border stablecoin transfers directly into its existing wallet app.

The Solana Foundation said Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay will support stablecoins on its network, with the feature available across 82 million compatible US Galaxy devices. Users will access transfers through the familiar wallet interface. Samsung also names Sui among its blockchain partners.

Users will be able to send USDC to compatible external wallets and transfer money to eligible bank accounts in more than 60 countries, where recipients receive local currency. Samsung charges no fee for external wallet transfers, although recipient providers may. Bank remittance fees apply and vary by destination and amount.

Bastion will provide the cross-border payment infrastructure and stablecoin accounts, with Coinbase acting as its sub-custodian through Coinbase Prime Vault. Users will not need to install another crypto app or manage private keys themselves. Samsung says regulated partners provide custody and money movement; Samsung does not hold customer funds.

The announcement provides a launch window and confirms USDC as the first supported stablecoin, following CoinScreamer’s earlier coverage of Samsung’s plans. Access requires US residency, age 18 or older, a Samsung Account, a compatible device running Android 13 or later, identity verification and biometric authentication.
