Revolut Links Crypto Exchange with Native AI Assistants

Revolut is bringing artificial intelligence directly to its order books. Users can now deploy sophisticated market strategies using conversational text prompts.

Global financial technology platform Revolut has integrated its dedicated cryptocurrency exchange, Revolut X, with third-party artificial intelligence assistants. The software update enables over 16 million digital asset users to monitor personal portfolios, extract live market metrics, configure custom price alerts, and execute complex market or limit orders entirely through natural language text prompts.

The integration supports prominent AI interfaces including Claude, Gemini, OpenClaw, and Cursor. Additionally, a public universal skill and command-line interface has been published to GitHub, allowing non-technical retail traders to hook into the ecosystem without specialized coding knowledge. Traders can describe complex ideas conversationally, such as backtesting a 90-day Bitcoin grid strategy, to immediately receive historical risk assessments and automated performance optimizations.

Leonid Bashlykov, Revolut’s head of product for crypto, stated that AI agents deliver faster workflows and tighter integration into everyday trading software. However, the firm emphasized that customers retain ultimate accountability for manually reviewing and approving every order before on-chain execution. Revolut does not assume legal liability for portfolio losses, missed execution opportunities, or erratic trades triggered by third-party algorithmic glitches.

This development follows an industry-wide push toward agentic finance across highly regulated crypto frameworks. Competitors have recently introduced similar integrations: Gemini pioneered direct AI connections via the open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard, Liquid debuted live execution tools inside ChatGPT, and Robinhood is preparing its own specialized Agentic Accounts for US market distribution.
