Bitfinex Securities completed a record $50 million tokenized capital raise for metals company Alkemya on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The transaction marks the largest real-world asset (RWA) capital raise on the platform to date, exceeding its previous record of $30 million for USTBL, a tokenized US Treasury product issued under El Salvador’s Digital Asset Law.
The capital raise was structured through the issuance of ALKN, a tokenized security representing limited partnership interests in Luxembourg-based Alkemya Metacore SCSp. The partnership holds ownership of approximately 7 million meters of 99.99% pure nickel wire, an underlying asset base independently valued at approximately $1.64 billion.
ALKN represents Alkemya’s initial tokenization project, providing institutional and eligible investors with fractionalized, digitally transferable exposure to the partnership. The structure allows Alkemya to monetize and raise capital against its physical metals inventory without liquidating underlying reserves.
Proceeds from the $50 million raise will be deployed to commercialize engineered nickel products targeted at high-tech applications, including semiconductor manufacturing. Additional ALKN tokens remain accessible to eligible investors on Bitfinex Securities through October 15, 2026. Secondary market trading for the security token is scheduled to commence following the completion of the subsequent fundraising tranche.
To date, Bitfinex Securities has executed seven capital raises and listed 16 tokenized assets across its regulated digital security platform.
