BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes has reaffirmed a $10,000 Ethereum price target for the end of 2026. In an interview from Korea Blockchain Week shared by CoinDesk on September 30, Hayes said he expects ETH to reach that level before the year closes.

The forecast repeats a target Hayes outlined in his September 2 essay, Atención. He presented Ether as one of Maelstrom’s shorter-term positions for the end of 2026, making the latest comments a reaffirmation of his existing outlook.
In that essay, Hayes also set targets of $0.50 for Ethena’s ENA and $2 for Ether.fi’s ETHFI. He described those positions as more speculative bets, while retaining a long-term Bitcoin holding as the anchor of the family office’s portfolio.
His argument centers on an expansion in US dollar liquidity. Hayes contended that pressure on French banks could reduce their lending in Treasury repo markets, prompting the Federal Reserve to expand its balance sheet. That policy response is his projected catalyst for crypto gains.
The call follows Hayes’s broader liquidity thesis, including his argument that financial stress tied to AI spending could eventually trigger government support benefiting Bitcoin. The $10,000 ETH figure remains his year-end forecast, dependent on how those market and policy expectations develop.
