Pump.fun Adds OpenAI and Other Pre-IPO Tokens Through PreStocks
Pump.fun adds eight PreStocks tokens for trading and new coin pairings, including OpenAI and Anthropic, with economic exposure rather than direct share ownership.
Key Notes
- Pump.fun added eight PreStocks tokens for trading and new coin pairings.
- The products reference private companies including OpenAI and Anthropic.
- PreStocks tokens provide economic exposure without direct company ownership rights.
Pump.fun has added PreStocks tokens referencing eight private companies, bringing pre-IPO exposure into both trading and new coin launches on the Solana platform. The supported names are OpenAI, Anthropic, Anduril, Neuralink, Figure AI, Kalshi, Polymarket and Oura.
In its October 19 announcement, Pump.fun said users can trade the pre-IPO tokens and launch new coins paired with them. PreStocks supplies the tokens; the referenced companies are not issuing shares through Pump.fun.

Private-company exposure becomes a pairing asset
The integration gives the tokens two uses. Traders can buy and sell the existing PreStocks products, while creators can select one as the other asset in a new coin’s trading pair. That extends the Custom Pairs model previously covered by CoinScreamer, which brought tokenized public stocks into Pump.fun’s launch infrastructure.
A pairing identifies what a coin is traded against. It does not give the newly created coin a claim on the private company, make that company its sponsor or turn it into another share-backed product.
What the tokens actually represent
PreStocks describes its products as backed one-to-one by exposure through special-purpose vehicles, or SPVs, holding underlying company shares. That is the provider’s backing description, rather than a direct shareholding for each token holder.
Its disclosures say holders receive economic exposure but no ownership, voting, dividend or information rights. The products are neither issued nor endorsed by the companies they reference, and they are unavailable to US persons and other ineligible users. PreStocks also does not guarantee secondary-market liquidity.
The distinction matters as private-market assets reach more crypto trading interfaces. CoinScreamer’s coverage of Ondo’s pre-IPO plans similarly separates tokenized exposure from company share ownership, although the products use different structures. Pump.fun’s announcement expands where PreStocks tokens can be used; it does not change the rights those tokens confer.
