Sophon plans to shut down its mainnet on November 30, 2026, but users must withdraw remaining assets by November 25. The Ethereum layer-2 project announced the final timetable in an October 19 thread, setting an earlier deadline for balances and outstanding rewards.
Key infrastructure and related websites will begin shutting down after November 25, ahead of the final network closure. Sophon warned that assets left on the chain after the withdrawal deadline risk becoming permanently inaccessible. The five-day gap is not an extension of the withdrawal window.

The notice covers liquid SOPH, ETH, USDC and other assets still on Sophon. It directs users to the claims portal for withdrawals and outstanding staking or Guardian rewards. Assets left in Sophon Farm require a separate withdrawal through the official farm interface.
Sophon’s migration guide distinguishes those actions from managed positions: Guardian NFTs, vSOPH and staked SOPH are transitioned to Ethereum automatically. Holders should still check for available reward claims. Liquid SOPH on Sophon must be withdrawn; the guide says the Ethereum-native token does not require a replacement-token swap.
The shutdown follows Sophon’s June 25 announcement that it would stop maintaining its own chain and focus on consumer finance and AI applications on Base. CoinScreamer recently covered Nillion’s separate L2 retirement; that migration has different arrangements and does not determine Sophon’s deadlines.
