The morning agenda of Solana Accelerate China 2026 in Shanghai was abruptly postponed on October 16. Wu Blockchain reported the disruption and reproduced an organizer notice citing venue logistics, updating earlier descriptions of the event as canceled. A replacement time was not specified.

A registered attendee said they had waited 90 minutes without being able to enter, according to Wu Blockchain. Organizers sent an apology at noon Shanghai time, saying registered guests would be contacted directly once new arrangements were confirmed. The notice directed attendees to monitor Luma notifications and email.

The official event listing identifies the Solana Foundation as host and originally scheduled Shanghai for 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. local time. Programming was intended to connect Chinese founders and developers with the global ecosystem through demonstrations and discussions of blockchain infrastructure, AI, payments and consumer products.

Shanghai was the opening stop of a four-city tour, followed by Hangzhou on October 18, Shenzhen on October 20 and Beijing on October 22. The reproduced notice concerns Shanghai’s morning agenda and does not announce cancellation of the entire China series. The detailed cause of the disruption remains unexplained.

Solana’s broader conference calendar also includes Breakpoint in London on November 15–17, which CoinScreamer recently covered. That separate gathering focuses on payments, tokenized assets and applications, alongside technical events for developers and validators. The Shanghai notice does not change those published plans.
