Monad has teased a privacy feature ahead of an October 6 unveiling at its Open event in Singapore. The blockchain project posted “Privacy is coming” on September 30, renewing attention on plans for Category Labs to present the capability.

In an earlier announcement, Monad said the feature would offer a way to keep sensitive activity private on the network. It framed the effort around institutions that move activity into closed systems to preserve confidentiality, sacrificing liquidity and composability.

The Monad Foundation’s event listing confirms that Open will take place during TOKEN2049 week. The gathering is aimed at founders, developers, investors and institutions, with a focus on bringing institutional finance and permissionless crypto onto public infrastructure.

The planned reveal adds a privacy focus to Monad’s expansion following its mainnet rollout. The Layer 1 network is compatible with Ethereum’s virtual machine, allowing developers to use familiar tools while building applications on a separate blockchain.

The announcements do not specify the feature’s technical design, supported applications or availability date. October 6 is the scheduled unveiling; the posts do not establish that users will be able to access the product that day.
