Binance founder Changpeng Zhao took a swipe at Peter Schiff on October 19 after a video compilation revived the gold advocate’s longstanding Bitcoin criticism. The Bitcoin Historian account shared the clip with a description saying Schiff had spent 13 years predicting that Bitcoin would go to zero.
“He will be right one day… after he changes his mind,” CZ replied. The exchange concerns a retrospective of Schiff’s bearish remarks, rather than a new October 19 prediction from Schiff. The 13-year description comes from the compilation’s uploader.

Schiff has also qualified what he means by Bitcoin becoming worthless. In June, he debated Anthony Pompliano on Fox Business, where Pompliano challenged him to bet on whether Bitcoin would still exist in a decade. Benzinga later reported Schiff’s explanation of his position.
Schiff told the outlet that Bitcoin reaching zero in the foreseeable future was “highly unlikely,” given the number of people owning and trading it. He nevertheless predicted a loss of more than 99% of its market value. That distinction separates his continuing bearish outlook from a claim that zero is imminent.
