Binance founder Changpeng Zhao has asked Elon Musk to stop trolling and show support following the exchange’s hack. In an October 30 reply, CZ said he respected Musk but considered the timing inappropriate.

The message answered a grimacing-face emoji Musk posted in a thread involving CZ. Zhao ended his response by asking for solidarity: “Would appreciate if you show a little support.” His reply was published at 09:19 UTC.

CZ also pointed to the $500 million investment in Musk’s Twitter takeover, saying the related shares were now worth more than $1 billion. That valuation was his claim; the post did not provide supporting calculations or a financial disclosure.

Musk had separately commented on the Binance incident with “Everyday is Zeroday,” a cybersecurity pun covered in our earlier brief. CZ’s latest response addressed the emoji post, rather than directly replying to that earlier remark.

The exchange comes as other industry executives offer operational help. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said his company was blocking transfers to compromised wallets and had contacted Binance to offer assistance. CZ’s message to Musk did not provide a new loss estimate or recovery timetable.
