Wallets linked to MARA Holdings deposited 1,000 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $82.8 million, into Binance and Gate over the past five days, according to Lookonchain. The on-chain analytics account flagged the transfers on October 19 as possible selling by the publicly traded Bitcoin miner.

The wallet attribution and dollar estimate come from Lookonchain’s tracking. Although deposits place coins at trading venues, the movements alone do not establish that MARA sold the Bitcoin, the price of any trade or how the funds would be used. The alert does not provide a company-confirmed sale announcement.

CoinScreamer previously covered a MARA-linked 996-BTC transfer flagged on October 9, with Galaxy Digital listed among its recipients. That earlier report also distinguished a wallet movement from a completed trade. The latest five-day exchange-flow figure should not be combined with that separate alert as one newly confirmed sale.

MARA has disclosed Bitcoin sales in the past. In a March 26 announcement, the company said it sold 15,133 BTC for approximately $1.1 billion between March 4 and March 25. It intended to use the proceeds for convertible-note repurchases, with the remainder available for general corporate purposes.

At the time, CEO Fred Thiel described those sales as a capital-allocation decision to reduce debt and strengthen financial flexibility as MARA expanded into digital energy and AI infrastructure. That historical explanation does not establish the purpose of the newly tracked deposits to Binance and Gate.
