Bitrefill Links March Cyberattack to North Korea’s Lazarus Group After Data Breach
Crypto payments platform Bitrefill says a cyberattack linked to the Lazarus Group exposed about 18,500 purchase records and drained funds from several hot wallets.
A private key is a cryptographic code that grants access to a user’s cryptocurrency and blockchain assets. It serves as proof of ownership and is required to authorize transactions. Anyone with access to a private key can control the associated funds, making security critical. Private keys are typically stored in wallets and should never be shared. Losing a private key usually means permanent loss of access to the assets.
