Initial Exchange Offering (IEO)

An initial exchange offering (IEO) is a fundraising method where a cryptocurrency project sells its tokens through a centralized exchange. The exchange acts as an intermediary, handling token sales, user participation, and compliance requirements. Projects are typically reviewed by the exchange before being approved for an offering. Users participate by purchasing tokens directly through their exchange accounts. Initial exchange offerings are designed to provide easier access and added trust compared to direct token sales.
