Airdrop

An airdrop is a method of distributing cryptocurrency tokens directly to users’ wallets, usually for free. Projects use airdrops to promote new platforms, reward early adopters, or encourage community engagement. Eligibility is often based on holding a specific token, completing simple tasks, or interacting with a blockchain network. While many airdrops provide legitimate rewards, others may be used as marketing experiments with limited long-term value. Airdrops have become a common growth strategy in the crypto ecosystem.
