Tether is preparing to unveil what its leadership describes as a major advancement in artificial intelligence technology. Chief executive Paolo Ardoino said the company’s AI division plans to release a “true breakthrough” in the coming week, signaling a new phase in its decentralized AI strategy.
The announcement follows a series of updates to QVAC, short for QuantumVerse Automatic Computer, a platform designed to run AI models locally on consumer devices rather than through centralized cloud infrastructure. The latest update to QVAC Workbench introduced interface improvements and expanded support for local AI applications across both desktop and mobile systems.
Tether has increasingly positioned its AI initiative as part of a broader effort to challenge centralized technology providers. Ardoino has previously described the project as an attempt to build decentralized infrastructure capable of supporting advanced computing without reliance on traditional cloud platforms.
