Crypto exchange OKX has launched a new in-app social networking feature designed to integrate market discussion and trading activity within its platform. The tool, called Orbit, allows users to share insights, host livestreams, and discuss trades while optionally displaying verified trading metrics such as portfolio performance and profit and loss. The feature is rolling out in phases, beginning with a limited beta release.
The product is intended to address what the exchange describes as a credibility gap in online trading communities. In many social media discussions, traders often rely on screenshots or selective disclosures to demonstrate performance. By enabling the optional verification of trading metrics inside the exchange environment, OKX aims to introduce more transparency to market commentary shared among users.
The launch reflects a broader trend among crypto platforms to integrate social media-style features into trading interfaces. Exchanges are increasingly seeking to build user engagement directly within their ecosystems as competition intensifies across retail and institutional markets. The development also comes as OKX expands partnerships and infrastructure tied to tokenized assets and institutional services.
