Odos Protocol Operating Company to Wind Down, Sets July 30 Deadline for Asset Withdrawals

Odos Protocol has announced the gradual shutdown of its operating company, with all application services set to permanently cease on July 30, 2026.

Decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator Odos Protocol announced that its operating company is shutting down operations, giving users until July 30, 2026, to withdraw their assets before services permanently cease.

The wind-down timeline began on July 23, with new registrations, wallet creation, and limit orders disabled. The Odos application switches to a read-only state on July 27 to allow balance viewing before shutting down completely on July 30. Users who created self-custody wallets via social media or email logins must transfer their funds or export private keys prior to the final deadline to maintain account access.

The team provided no specific rationale for the company’s closure. However, DefiLlama data highlights a sharp decline in trading activity: Odos’s monthly DEX aggregator volume fell to $169 million in July 2026, down significantly from its peak of $7.8 billion in December 2024. The platform was generating roughly $2.72 million in annualized revenue prior to the announcement.

Odos clarified that the Odos DAO operates as a separate entity and will announce its plans independently. Additionally, the native ODOS token exists independently on-chain and will remain unaffected by the operating company’s shutdown. The announcement reflects a broader trend of protocol closures across the crypto landscape, occurring the same day derivatives exchange BitMEX announced its shutdown after 11 years of operation.
