Prominent fiat-to-crypto gateway provider MoonPay announced its acquisition of Entendre, an artificial intelligence startup specializing in automated back-office financial operations, on June 22, 2026. The strategic acquisition moves MoonPay directly into the enterprise financial operations layer, addressing the accounting friction that often slows down corporate Web3 adoption.
Entendre develops specialized AI accounting agents engineered to automate complex workflows for high-volume crypto and fintech enterprises. Its primary feature suite handles end-to-end tasks, including transaction reconciliations, localized treasury management, automated month-end closing procedures, and programmable cryptographic journal entries. By embedding these automated capabilities into MoonPay’s broader stack, the firm intends to provide corporate clients with the back-office speed and context necessary to match the real-time nature of public blockchain settlement.
The transaction marks MoonPay’s fifth acquisition of the year, following its recent purchases of Decent.xyz, DFlow, Dawn, and Sodot. This aggressive M&A strategy directly feeds into the firm’s enterprise expansion efforts, specifically supporting its newly debuted MoonPay Trade service, an institutional-grade unified API for cross-chain execution, settlement, and payments led by former acting CFTC Chair Caroline Pham.
Entendre’s existing client portfolio includes heavyweights like Polygon Labs, Thirdweb, and Babylon Labs. The entire Entendre platform and its engineering team will integrate into MoonPay immediately to maintain seamless, continuous service delivery for all legacy users.
